Overview
The application window for the 2026–27 Schwab-Rosenhouse Memorial Scholarship is open from October 15, 2025, through February 6, 2026.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be graduating high school seniors.
- Candidates must have resided in El Dorado, Placer, Yolo, or Sacramento County, California, for a minimum of two years before submitting their application and must satisfy California state residency requirements.
- Students must plan to enroll full time at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school that is located within 100 miles of the Sacramento County Courthouse.

To be considered, eligible students must complete the online application and provide a copy of their high school transcript plus letters of recommendation.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on a review of each applicant’s academic record, involvement in school and community activities, volunteer service, and relevant personal circumstances. Answers to questions about educational and career goals will also play a significant role in the evaluation.
Award Details
Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 per year. The amount each recipient receives depends on the length of their program and the full-time cost of attendance at their chosen institution. Demonstrated financial need is taken into account when determining final award levels.
