Maude MacKenzie Scholarship

Overview
The Maude MacKenzie Scholarship provides a $1,000.00 award each year to a graduating student from an accredited Maine high school. The fund is overseen and distributed by the Educational Loan Fund Committee. Recipients must be residents of the State of Maine and have been admitted to a college or university.
Eligibility
- Graduation from an accredited high school in Maine.
- Current residency in the State of Maine.
- Acceptance by a college or university.
Selection factors
Candidates will be evaluated on scholastic record (academic average), leadership, and contributions to school and community service. Financial need will also be taken into account. Only applications that are fully complete will be reviewed.
Required application materials
A complete submission must include all of the following:
1. A copy of the applicant’s high school transcript.
2. A recommendation letter from a guidance counselor or a teacher.
3. A personal essay written by the student explaining why they should be selected for the scholarship.
4. A letter of acceptance from the college or university the student plans to attend.
