WinField United Careers in Agriculture Scholarship

Overview
This scholarship is managed by Scholarship America®, the country’s largest creator and administrator of scholarships and education-support programs for companies, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility decisions are made by the program sponsor; Scholarship America’s review team evaluates eligible applications.
Eligibility
To be considered for the WinField United Careers in Agriculture Scholarship applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled as a college undergraduate in the United States.
- Intend to enroll full-time for the entire upcoming academic year at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
- Be pursuing a degree related to agriculture or demonstrate an interest in a career within the agricultural industry.
- Have relevant work experience connected to the degree being pursued.
Ineligible individuals: employees of WinField United, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, or any organization involved in creating or administering this scholarship, along with their household members and immediate family. Immediate family is defined as parents, siblings, spouse, and children.
Awards
- Each selected recipient will receive a $5,000 scholarship. Up to four (4) scholarships will be awarded.
- Scholarships are one-time awards (not renewable). Eligible students may reapply in subsequent years.
- Awards are limited to undergraduate study only.
Notification
- Applicants will be informed of decisions in late May.
- Notifications are sent by email. Do not use a school or employer email address when creating your account; use a personal email you will retain access to.
- Add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org and the program’s email address to your email contacts/safe-sender list to ensure delivery.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America will process award payments on behalf of Land O’Lakes, Inc. Payments are issued in August.
Selection Criteria
Scholarship recipients are chosen based on the following factors (financial need is not considered):
- Academic achievement
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Relevant work experience
- A written statement outlining educational and career goals and objectives
- Any significant personal or family circumstances
- An online recommendation
The sponsor will select recipients from among qualified finalists. Not all applicants will advance to finalist status or receive an award. All applicants agree to accept the sponsor’s decision as final.
Application Requirements
You must upload the following materials as part of your online application:
- A current, complete academic transcript (grade reports are not acceptable). Transcripts must clearly show:
- Student name
- School name
- Course grades
- Credit hours for each course and the term in which each course was taken
An application will be considered incomplete until all required documents are submitted electronically.
