Intro
The ASID Foundation offers financial support to individuals and organizations that advance informed, sustainable, and healthy approaches to designing the built environment. Each year the Foundation awards the Legacy Scholarship for Undergraduate Students to honor scholarly achievement and inventive design work.
Award
Amount: $4,000
Purpose and Eligibility
The Legacy Scholarship is presented annually to undergraduate students who demonstrate academic excellence and creative promise. Applicants must be enrolled in the junior or senior year of an accredited interior design undergraduate program that is at least three years in length.

This scholarship is made possible through the generous contributions of the Dora Brahms Fund, Mabelle Wilhelmina Boldt Fund, Yale R. Burge Fund, Raymond Kennedy Fund, Ethel Siegelman Fund, and Alan Lucas Fund.
Required Application Materials
- Design portfolio (8–12 pages) illustrating projects that show design responses improving occupant well-being
- Portfolio statement (maximum 500 words)
- Personal statement
- Transcript (an unofficial copy or another form of enrollment verification is acceptable)
- Letter of recommendation
- Biographical statement
- Headshot
