MFMA Scholarship Program
Scholarship Sponsored by Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association
Introduction
This scholarship is designed to promote educational advancement for students entering professions tied to the sports-flooring industry. We recognize that producing and using premium sports surfaces is a multi-step effort: it begins with timber and passes through numerous skilled hands to become finished flooring, and then many trained professionals work on and with those floors throughout their careers. Our goal is to assist people at every stage of that chain as they pursue education and career development.
Who may apply and how recipients are chosen
Students enrolled in secondary schools, postsecondary programs, or trade/vocational training who are preparing for careers related to wood and wood products are invited to apply. Award decisions are based on three factors: academic records, relevance of the applicant’s field of study to the industry, and the quality of the submitted essay.
